Shield Masters — Residential & Commercial Window Tinting - Last Updated: March 28, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting a quote, scheduling a service, or allowing Shield Masters ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") to perform work at your property, you ("Client") agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not engage our services.

2. Services

Shield Masters provides residential and commercial window tinting services, including but not limited to nano-ceramic film, frosted film, mirror film, and custom tinting solutions. All services are performed at the Client's property located within our service area (Wayne, NJ and surrounding areas).

The specific scope of work, film type, and pricing will be outlined in the quote provided to the Client prior to scheduling.

3. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on information provided by the Client at the time of inquiry. Shield Masters reserves the right to revise pricing if the actual conditions on-site differ materially from what was described (e.g., window size, number of panes, accessibility issues, or pre-existing damage).

A quote does not constitute a binding contract until both parties confirm the scheduled appointment and the Client provides access to the property.

4. Scheduling and Cancellations

Appointments must be confirmed in advance. If a Client needs to cancel or reschedule, we ask for at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the quoted project cost to cover scheduling and material preparation costs.

Shield Masters reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to weather conditions, supply delays, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will provide as much advance notice as possible in such cases.

5. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • Ensure that all windows to be treated are accessible and clear of furniture, blinds, curtains, and other obstructions prior to the appointment.
  • Provide a safe, accessible working environment for our technicians.
  • Disclose any known damage to windows, frames, or seals prior to service.
  • Ensure an authorized adult (18+) is present at the property for the duration of the service.

Shield Masters is not responsible for delays or additional costs arising from a Client's failure to meet these responsibilities.

6. Pre-Existing Conditions

Shield Masters will not be held liable for damage to windows, frames, seals, or surrounding structures that is attributable to pre-existing conditions, including but not limited to cracked glass, failing seals, deteriorating frames, or prior film installations. The Client acknowledges that window tinting applied to compromised glass or frames may produce suboptimal results, and Shield Masters cannot guarantee film performance in such conditions.

If our technicians identify a pre-existing issue prior to installation, we will notify the Client. The Client may then choose to proceed at their own risk or cancel the service without penalty.

7. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted forms of payment will be communicated at the time of booking. For larger commercial projects, a deposit may be required prior to scheduling.

Invoices not paid within 15 days of completion may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

8. Warranty

Shield Masters stands behind the quality of our installations. We offer the following warranty coverage:

  • Workmanship: 1 year from the date of installation, covering defects in application such as bubbling, peeling, or lifting caused by our installation process.
  • Film Manufacturer Warranty: Varies by film product. Shield Masters will provide applicable manufacturer warranty information upon request.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from misuse, cleaning with abrasive materials or ammonia-based products, or physical impact.
  • Failure caused by pre-existing window or frame issues disclosed or discoverable at the time of installation.
  • Natural fading or tint change over extended periods beyond the manufacturer's rated lifespan.
  • Damage caused by third parties after installation.

9. Care Instructions

To protect your film and maintain warranty coverage, the Client must:

  • Avoid cleaning tinted windows for at least 30 days after installation to allow the film to fully cure.
  • Use only soft cloths and mild, ammonia-free cleaning solutions on tinted surfaces.
  • Avoid attaching stickers, decals, or suction cups to tinted glass.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shield Masters' total liability to the Client for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Shield Masters shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of business income, or property damage not directly caused by our negligence.

11. Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Shield Masters, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the Client's misuse of our services, breach of these Terms, or misrepresentation of property conditions.

12. Photography and Marketing

Shield Masters may photograph completed work for use in portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes. Images will not include identifiable personal information. If you do not consent to photography of your property, please notify us in writing before the appointment.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Jersey.

14. Changes to These Terms

Shield Masters reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website at goshieldmasters.com. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
